For this project I set out to create a Houdini simulation based advert for a moisturiser product. I decided to reframe from using an existing product and rather opt to use a general shape to be able to focus more on technical learning.
This section utilities Houdini's FLIP fluids for the simulation of the moisturiser and a small amount of RBD for the motion of the lid falling off. Hard surface geometry was modelled in Blender and the final video was edited in Nuke X.
 In these shots I used Houdini's vellum based cloth simulations to create the effect of flowers blooming behind the pot of moisturiser as it falls past.
Finally I utilised Vellum Hair simulations to imitate the effect of cotton and dropped the moisturiser pot onto the soft bed simulated using Vellum cloth.
